Janice Gorton Piano masterclass, funded with love and care, aims for cultivating the core of piano performing. By introducing profound knowledge of how to resolve common issues mentally and physically in classical piano playing, in order to help build each individual's confidence and passion!
Here, at our residential courses, we provide not only varied piano workshops with thoughtful designated courses, but also with superb quality meals, accommodations to ensure each participant stretches to the top level by immersing oneself in an enchanting musical environment and absorbing the atmosphere of fun learning!
Generally speaking for an advanced rich country is often built upon creativity, and in order to cultivate the core of piano music education, we believe that creativity can be activated by educating the young generation through piano playing with great enjoyment, in which enables each individual to form his or her speech through piano playing as well as helping promote vigorous growth in the inner soul; furthermore, to have the recognition of the prominence of the value of artistic merits, is the main core of Janice Gorton International piano Masterclass.
Our International Piano Masterclass shall run as “first come, first serve”. If we cannot fit your desired chosen workshop in time, the flexibility of fitting you in other masterclasses can be provided to you in due course.

Generally speaking, a piano masterclass is conducted by a concert-level pianist who can give constructive instructions to all participants. Course runs on masterclass format, as is to say each pianist works on his or her repertoire in turn, and observed by the group.

Most pianists are used to practice in their comfort zone - own home, by participating in a piano masterclass certainly unfolds the most effective path of seeking further development! Learning how to play piano in public, in order to adopt the ability of producing quality and stylish performance as well as overcoming stage fright , furthermore, one can truly master piano playing with excellence of stagecraft and professionalism!

Residential course packages & special feature:
At Janice Gorton International Piano Masterclass, we provide superb quality meals, accommodation, in addition, there is an upright piano or selected electronic piano with headphones for daily practising with great privacy in each bedroom; a set of towels & bath sheets shall be provided during the stay of the chosen workshop, along with a pair of slippers, a bowl of fruit, some healthy snacks and a bottle of mineral water.
A final concert is held followed by the award ceremony of the completion of Janice Gorton International Piano Masterclass, and a certificate shall be given
Pianists with outstanding performance at “final concert” from each workshop shall be selected and invited to perform in our annual concert piano recital at formal stage. An award ceremony and certificate will be given to each pianist. (The invitation will be sent out in due course and the event will be broadcasted on radio stations or through our social media).

Our private pick-up service is available to those who wish to reach the residential course venue from both Northampton train station and Wellingborough train station.
The fee for this private pick up service from these two train stations will be £40 per head (return price)
Optional Minibus (16 seater approximate) Pick up Service:
Pick up service fee from London Heathrow airport or London Gatwick airport is £100 (return price)
Minibus schedule will be updated on our website in due course.
Please note that our private pick up services are not aiming for profits but to purely serve the purpose of providing convenient transport for participants, especially for those who travel from abroad!
